Established in 1936, CDA is Connecticut’s oldest theater organization, whose mission is to offer students and teachers a wide variety of educational theatre experiences in which to grow and learn, share and enjoy. This year the CDA will offer both performance and technical workshops, a monologue contest, the annual Spring Play Festival, and more!

Any Connecticut high school student is welcome at any CDA event. However, if your school joins our organization, all students/faculty receive the following privileges:

  • Reduced entry fees at workshops and events.
  • Reduced entry and ticket fees at the spring Festival.
  • Voting privileges at the monthly meetings.
  • Priority admission to workshops, Festival, and Monologue Contest.
  • College scholarship opportunities for students.
  • Ability to advertise your productions on our website.
  • A chance to meet/work with CT’s community of educational theatre artists.

We invite you to join us at our first general meeting on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 9 am at the Neptune Restaurant and we look forward to you and your students joining us.
